- To maintain an active concert and performance schedule that promotes and celebrates jazz;
- To ensure the continued development of jazz and jazz education across the state, and;
- To promote our musicians as ambassadors in educational, performance and for-hire settings.
The Jazz Foundation of North Carolina, Inc. and the North Carolina Jazz Repertory Orchestra are grateful for support received from the North Carolina Arts Council. Since its inception, the NCJRO has been featured on the North Carolina Arts Council’s Touring Roster and Directory.
The NCJRO provides employment opportunities for our state's finest musicians, linking talented professionals with serious consumers interested in supporting live jazz. Not only is the NCJRO available to perform as a complete eighteen-piece orchestra, we can also do smaller group performances for cocktail parties, dinner dances, museum openings, etc. We are happy to tailor an ensemble to fit the needs of your event. You can expect the highest degree of professionalism from our experienced, well-educated musicians. Our fees are commensurate with our experience, and can be adapted to client needs.
